Actively Shaping New Views

Art in the Europe Building, Melsungen

B. Braun Melsungen AG supports art, architecture and culture in North Hesse by sponsoring selected projects and activities to promote cultural continuity of the highest international order.

Architecture
As an outstanding example of modern industrial architecture, our Pfieffewiesen Facility has won recognition beyond the borders of the region. With its realization of the prizewinning design by the architects James Stirling and Michael Wilford, B. Braun has created an architectural monument of international repute. The company's Collection of Contemporary Art has been on exhibit here since 1992.
The Europe Building, which was dedicated in 2001, was selected by the Hessian Society of Architects for the nationwide Day of Architecture in June 2002.

Art In The Aesculapium
The Aesculapium in Tuttlingen is the seat of the Aesculap Academy, which is engaged in activities around the world. Its architecture borrows from the ancient places of worship of the Greek god of healing, Asclepius. The Aesculapium sees itself not only as forum for communication in medicine, but also supports the development of art and culture by the maxim of a Greek philosopher: "Remember, only the beauty of art can open the eyes of the studious mind."
