The Leading Infusion Factory Europe (L.I.F.E.), which was officially opened on April 19, 2005, is an important milestone in the history of B. Braun and sets new standards in the production of IV solutions.

A total of 600 million IV solutions are used in Europe every year. In future, one in three of these will be produced in Germany – or, to be more precise, at L.I.F.E. A total of 150 employees work in this fully automated manufacturing facility to produce top-quality "Ecoflac plus" IV solution containers – a volume of one million per day and 220 million per year. A total of €150 million was invested by B. Braun to provide this innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing technology and an attractive working environment for its workforce.
