In 1839 Julius Wilhelm Braun purchased the Rosen-Apotheke, a pharmacy in Melsungen, Germany and expanded it by a mail-order business for local herbs. This was the beginning of an outstanding success story which let to the today’s B. Braun Melsungen AG with more than 41,000 employees in over 50 countries around the globe.
