B. Braun subsidiary MAT Adsorption Technologies received an award from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for CardioImmun, a system for removing antibodies from the blood, which was developed in collaboration with Greifswald University.
Egg of Columbus Award 2004
The Innovation Foundation singled out B. Braun’s IV catheters with integrated safety clips for protecting against needlestick injuries as a “shining example of a successful and practical innovation”.

This prize was awarded to the Introcan Safety® IV catheter, which has a safety clip that is activated automatically, thereby offering protection against needlestick injuries.

This prize was awarded to the DUPLEX® Drug Delivery System. The individual compartments of this plastic IV container simply need to be squeezed to mix drug and diluent prior to administration.
