B. Braun Medical has been awarded in Spain by the UESCE (Spanish Association of Nursery Scientific Societies) for our contribution to clinical safety culture, for procedures and resources brought to nursery clinical practices to avoid accidental needlesticks injuries and related infections.

The award “Advances and Innovations in Nursery 2011” was received on Friday 13th of May in Madrid by María Sales Alcón, Product Manager of our Basic Care Division.

Introcan Safety® and Vasofix® Safety peripheral catheters are marketed in Spain by B. Braun since 2003. Both products have a passive safety mechanism protecting the needle edge when removed from patients, avoiding risks of incidental injury and possible infections with hepatitis B, C or AIDS virus.
