Reporting requirement according to paragraph 33 of the ‘REACH’ regulation (EG No. 1907/2006)
Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) identifies substances that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs). SVHCs are included on the Candidate List, which is published on the ‘ECHA’ website (European Chemical Agency) and updated continuously.
According to Article 33 of the regulation, manufacturers, importers and other suppliers are obligated to provide sufficient information if articles contain SVHCs in a concentration of more than 0.1 percent by weight (w/w), and, where appropriate, to provide guidance for the safe use in relation to these articles.
The affected products from the B. Braun Group, with more than 0.1% by weight of an SVHC are listed in the attachment below.
B. Braun regularly monitors the ongoing additions to the SVHC candidate list. This report will be revised annually based on updates made to the Candidate List and B. Braun’s product list. Until then this report retains its validity.
