Required information is transferred to the app store when downloading the mobile app, specifically your user name, email address and customer number of your account, time of download, payment information and individual device identifier. We have no influence on this data collection and are therefore not responsible for it. We process the data only insofar as it is necessary for downloading the mobile app to your mobile device. 

In addition to our online offering, we provide a mobile app that you can download to your mobile device. In the following, we provide information on the collection of personal data when using our mobile apps. Personal data is all data that personally references you; such as: name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

We process your personal information in compliance with the data privacy laws of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European General Data Protection Regulation. In no case will we forward your personal information to third parties outside of B. Braun for advertising or marketing purposes without your consent.

In our company, compliance with legal regulations and this statement is monitored by our data privacy officers. The administrators of the apps are trained to handle personal information and have committed in writing to comply with data privacy regulations.

When using the mobile app, we capture the following personal data in order to enable comfortable use of the functions. If you would like to use our mobile app, we capture the following data which we require for technical reasons in order to offer you the functions of our mobile app and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Article 6, Para. 1, page 1, lit. f GDPR):

- IP address

- Date and time of the request

- Time zone difference relative to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

- Content of the request (specific page)

- Access status/HTTP status code

- Data volume transferred

- Website from which the request comes Browser

- Operating system and interface

- Language and version of browser software

In addition to data privacy, data security is also very important to us. We process your data in a way that always conforms to the latest state of science and technology. Our high standards of IT security include numerous measures: all communication between the app and the back end system takes place via SSL encryption. The back end system itself is designed according to the security concept of the designated authority, which is also applied to the other systems of the designated authority. This also includes physical protective measures and organizational protective measures, such as accessibility only by designated employees.

Your personal information that is transmitted to us is thus protected against unauthorized access.

You can and must also do your part to ensure data security, however. In particular, you should choose a strong password of at least 8 characters, which includes uppercase and lowercase letters and contains letters, numbers and special characters.

We draw your attention to the fact that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may involve gaps in security. We attempt to protect your information from unauthorized access by third parties by means of precautions such as pseudonymization, data economy, observing deletion periods and in consideration of the current state of the art. Despite these protective measures, however, we cannot completely rule out unlawful processing by third parties.

If new content is provided in our apps, this is displayed for you via a status message in our app each time the app is started until you actively indicate that you no longer want to receive this notification.

If a registration for expanded content is required in a B. Braun app, you explicitly agree with your registration (Handling personal data) that B. Braun may send you targeted information and marketing offers for products and services from B. Braun via email or postal mail.

You always have the option of preventing future use of your personal information by requesting deletion of your user profile. 

The apps may contain links to Internet pages of third parties. B. Braun has no influence on the content of these pages. After clicking on a link, you leave B. Braun's area of responsibility. Subsequent processing of your information no longer occurs in B. Braun's range of influence.

We use the analytics technology from Flurry Inc. (www.flurry.com) for tracking of our apps. This allows the collection and saving of usage data in a pseudo-anonymized form. With this analysis, we aim to optimize the user friendliness of the app and to continually improve it for you. The information is not used in order to identify users of this app and is not compared to other data with respect to the owner of a pseudonym.

As an international company, we work together with external service providers. To the extent that processed information contains personal content, corresponding contractual agreements and organizational measures have been enacted according to applicable law which ensure the security of your information. Our external service providers are obligated to follow our instructions and are regularly monitored.

You always have the right to:

Free information about your saved personal information, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and the legal basis of processing of the data,

Correction, Blocking, Deletion of this information, Receipt of your information in a structured, common and machine-readable format (right to data portability),

Revocation of your consent for the processing of your personal information,

Complaints registered with the designated supervisory authority

Refusal of processing due to justified interest

You also have the right to refuse processing of your personal information at any time if this occurs by B. Braun Melsungen AG for justified interest (in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). As a consequence, processing of your data is stopped unless B. Braun Melsungen AG can stipulate legal requirements or can substantiate continuation of processing based on interests worthy of protection. This may be the case, for example, if information continues to be required in order to enforce legal claims.

Refusal of processing for purposes of direct marketing

You can refuse processing of your personal information for purposes of marketing and data analysis at any time ("marketing refusal"). 

Right of appeal with supervisory authority

Irrespective of any other administrative proceedings or judicial remedy, you have the right of appeal to a data privacy supervisory authority. You can turn to the data privacy supervisory authority of your normal place of residence or workplace or that of our company headquarters.
