Get support from your renal care center of origin
The staff at your renal care center of origin can help you plan your dialysis schedule when you are away from home. This way you can count on continuity in your therapy sessions and the care you receive. Please notify the staff about your trip as soon as possible.
Your healthcare team:
- Will share detailed information about your treatment plan with the renal care center at your destination
- Will send necessary supplies and important medication to the center in advance (including dialysis supplies for PD patients)
- Will advise you on vaccinations or nutrition with regard to your destination
- Will serve as contact for any questions medical personnel may have during you vacation
FAQ: Holiday dialysis
Absolutely! Even if your renal care center of origin is not part of B. Braun, you are welcome to make use of our renal care centers in your preferred holiday destination.
As a new B. Braun patient, we may need additional information since we don’t have access to your current therapy data. But don’t worry, the center you choose will guide you through all the steps and let you know what is needed.
If you are already a B. Braun patient, your renal care center of origin and the center at your holiday destination will communicate directly with each other to exchange all necessary therapy information. All elements of your treatment will be handled for you by the two centers, so you can focus on planning your trip and enjoying your holiday!
Contact us as early as possible. The sooner we know about your plans and preferences, the better we can prepare everything. Of course, we’ll always do our best to support you no matter when you get in touch!
